Do you guys prefer the cab over's vs the cube/cutaway boxes?

I'm looking at some used Penske trucks, but all the cab over's are diesel. Are the cab over's worth paying more for than the cube's? There seems to be a big price difference, 5-8k or so.

This is what I'm finding:

2007 W4500 16 footer - Diesel - 120k miles - GVW 14k Price $20k average
2007 GMC 16 footer - Gas - 80-100k miles - GVW 10k-12500 Price $13k average

Thanks,
Bill

The 2007s will have the 6.0 gas motor, which is a hog but holds up a lot better than the old 5.7. I do think they still use the 4l80e 4 speed, same as in the vans, which is a weak spot. 08s and up get the 6 speed trans which (Ive heard) is better. The diesel will get you better mpgs but unless you drive more than 15k or so a year Id skip it.

Cab over's are nice to be able to see well and park easier but cube or cutaway drive nicer. Not so much bounce in them. We have both and if I were spending extended time on the road I'd go for less bounce. If you're in city with a lot of traffic and parking issues I'd do the cab over.
