A recent thread has spurred a lot of interest in Bridgepoint's Encapuguard Green. This neutralizes alkaline residues, prevents wicking, slows resoiling and is a green protector. See the thread for all the details on how this works.
Each gallon dilutes 1:8 to make 9 gallons. A concentrated gallon will cover over 10,000 sq. ft. of commercial carpet. That is well under a penny per sq. ft.
