The way Aramsco is attempting to monopolize the supply side of the industry, I have no doubts about them scooping up Cobb's for 850grand....

...and then Cobb can go around for two decades telling people how he sold his well established business for *insert current dollar anount*...like Partridge...and Toubuoruoen .
Always adjust your business sale price to inflation to sound better and more. 😂

inventory is worth .40 on the dollar, the good will of his client base is worth 3 months income.

So probably $100k
I was kidding. I wouldn't pay more than 30k for recipes. Hell, some of those likely have contents you wouldn't want in there anyway.

There are tons of guys out there willing to reverse engineer products. I certainly wouldn't waste my time with his line though.

For there to be any value at all you'd have to move to Texas and try to hang on to his bottom feeders.

Besides if you really want to go full time in sales, you could get the big names and sell the good stuff for much much less than a million.

Has to come with building or no deal

I'd like to see if his gross has been climbing or dropping over the last 3 years

The last three years could be very misleading, given the circumstances of worldwide bs going on, for nearly two years now.

Building get re-poed?

Sometimes the real estate value of the building is such that its worth selling separately, or kept for post retirement rental income.

A supply business I know of was relocated years back because the owner could make more money renting the property in its original city than the business could pay him with the revenue it created.

The last 5 has to have accurate numbers. And if his numbers aren’t good between 2020-2021, then something’s wrong

Who here has spent the time to develop their own cleaning chemistry?

Some of Larry’s stuff is great, some is mediocre and others are so so. Just like all manufactures and resellers, not everything will fit your scope.

Larry takes the time to talk to you personally and answer every question about his stuff and beyond. He has given great advice here on MB and other places. You may agree and you may not with his view and experience. That ok too.

I personally will miss Larry when he sales his business. Things don’t remain the same once the founder is gone. Maybe for a little while but things do change. Wish him all the best with the sale of his business.

one thing is clear in the business /industry, the ole timers are slowly gone and there is no one with their knowledge holding up the torch and running with it. Pemberton, Costa, Yeadon, Shawn, wheelwright and and on and on....once these guys are gone, so is their wealth of knowledge. Grab all you can from those still among us cause you ain’t gonna find it anywhere else no time soon.

Have a great clean everyone....and make your client customer smile and remember you by the experience you gave them while in their home. That’s what they will remember the most.

Put down the crack pipe

this industry isn’t medical research for gawds sake

it’s soil removal.

“their knowledge” is still being practiced and will improve

it’s nice to revere predecessors but advancements leap frog from there

I appreciate the kind thought, but I agree with Fred

Most of you don’t know the names of the pioneers who invented or vastly improved the products, tools, and techniques you use. In another generation, the names above will also be forgotten.

A friend of mine gave me a perfect illustration about how much impression we leave after we retire or pass away:

“Put your foot in a bucket of water, and see if you left a footprint”

I couldn’t say it better
