Competitor left me a bad google review. What would you do?

A guy I thought was my friend left me a 1 star google review. He helped me out when I was getting started. I would have never thought. This person also managed to give themselves a 5 star review too.

He actually gave another competitor a 3 star review as well. I actually accused the company with the 3 star review of doing this to me. I have since apologized to the business owner and Andres Tobar who was doing SEO work for the company that got a 3 star review from this scum bag.

What would some of you do?

Launch an all out assault and try to destroy this companies online presence?

Set up a bunch of bogus estimates?

I did that a couple times.

Funny how all the reviews under that "Warning" disappeared except for mine in the last few minutes. Don't worry I printed them out.

My threatening message consisted of asking Dave to remove the review (because you are able too) and then advising him that I can leave reviews too.

I did so much for you to help you along on your business. Ever since this Naperville thing it's gotten out of control. I need to advise you to no longer contact me under any circumstances. He has removed all the other reviews except the one he left for me within the last few minutes. I've printed them out Davey and got them on video too.

My wife walked out on me and my kids for my daughters x-best friends mom. Last february I selfishly attempted suicide and just about succeeded. I can't believe I am still here. That would have been bad for the kids because they really need me. I am still fighting my wife in court. I have issues much deeper to deal with and am not going to entertain Mike with this drama.

I'll be happy to fax over the sheet I have here showing the reviews you left. I have no motive Dave, I actually liked you untill this. I've got the 1 star review you gave me, the 3 star you gave Koshgarian, the 5 Star you gave yourself and the 1 star you felt you had to give Harlem furniture. Those others came down like lightening just like your Naperville address right after I posted this. How do you explain this?

Anybody that really knows Dave and seen the real side of him would know what I'm talking about.

Do not sweat it. Post your owner reply and move on. That is quite the a hole thing to do. It does have to be a competetor - the public would never make such a statement. Naperville is a very competetive market. I flagged it as inapproiate for you.

I'm glad someone local bought it. I wasn't looking forward to shipping that. I don't believe I was home when you picked it up. Small world. It sure does have to be a competitor. I seen one of your trucks in Wheaton not long ago. Thank you for flagging the review. You need a pump out for your Butler? (no charge, I removed that as well). Your right about Naperville, I'm only at .35 a foot and lost jobs because my price was too low. I'm an owner operator so my costs are really low. Probably going up to .40 come May

Do you clean rugs? I need someone else now. I don't get many at all but I've got two I'm picking up Friday.
