Do you think the taper noticibly improves vac performance over straight 1.5"?

And we buy our 2 inch to 1.5 inch tapered hose from either John Olson t superiority cleaning solutions or Ray over at Cobb carpet supply in Dallas.

It is a made by Amflex hose company and we use the best hose cuffs they are called cool cuffs, we believe they work the best.

We use the tapered hose for all of the tile tools, as they come plumbed for 1,5 inch

Sometimes I feel old now Marty, not like some of the really older guys but still having soreness and stuff that I really never felt before.

I chose years ago not to continue wearing my body like most carpet cleaners do, so I try all the new tools for ease of use, production time, no quality of clean/recovery, in an attempt to make my work life easier.

The biggest thing is just getting a helper or even 2 helpers for the large job as it makes us less fatigued at the end of the day.

Less fatigue at the end of each day equals a body that don't hurt as much, but I have gained a few pounds but I am much happier.

Ive got Brady now, and he does most of the wanding these days. So, my gut reaction is to continue with the 2 inch stuff, but I remember losing my best employee years ago because she couldn't adjust to cleaning with our first TM. It was a Prochem and Prochem was way ahead of its time in advocating 2 inch tools. She liked the 1.5 that our portables used.

I'm sure Brady will hate the Mach 12, but if it performs as well as it is reported to, I'll force him to make the change because it might help him avoid the physical problems I deal with today.

I've been using tapered whip hose for years. It's like using an acid rinse. I can't prove it helps, but I ride on the side of caution.

The 15' tapered hoses give you quite a bit of airflow improvement over the 2 inch reduced to a 1.5 inch whip but all the ones I have seen or used are a single ply hose that just will not hold up to the everyday vacuum and heat of a truckmount.
These hoses are typically used on car wash vacuums.
Let me know if this one is a 2 ply hose but I doubt it.

My NV set up will have a 7.5 flow 13" Xipper.

an RVi with brush head/3 port

this Mach 12

and the No Name when it's ready.

I expect them all to get used about evenly but that NN better be something special to get me to stop using the M12 on light soil situations and trimming around the RVi. If the NN head is as good as Tom says it is I would like to see a 1.5 swivel produced next.

I expect Lee and Marty to agree with me in that this M12 sucks 90% as well as a 2". So a slightly slower dry pass or slightly less flow/pressure makes up for it.

If any wand isn't enough to clean a grimy pig sty, use a RE or prescrub and Xippit.

I use my steam way wand a lot on heavy soil, Love the flushing with K3 flood jet and the 1.5 pipe works fine. Pretty easy to sling around

The 2 inch hose you get from John Olsen, is it thick and really stiff? I need to get new vac hose soon. Ive got 300 ft of almost brand new orange hose up in my attic that I won't use because its too hard to work with. I need the lighter more flexible stuff.

I just got a few of those VacAttacks for the 1.5 inch tools, I am hoping they work well!

4ft 1.5 whip to my Kick AZZ PMF 16 in 703.
Backup wand is PMF 802

Shoulder pain just wasnt worth an hour early Dry time. Every occcupied gets dry passes so not a big deal.

Nobody noticed when my Vortex and Ti wand left the company.

I spoke with him a little while ago and he said the same thing. I'm thinking it is the same hose I am using now. He said my orange hose is most likely flexhaust?
It doesn't bend at all. Ugh! I wish I could just sell it but I couldn't sell something like that crap in good faith...
