He is determined to build the World's Best Looking Slide In Truckmount and wants one of us to design it's looks for him.

He wants to use Stainless Steel in every possible component including the blower. He is sick and dog gone tired of us MB'rs picking on the looks of his units and is willing to do anything to change his reputation here.

Please post your ideas and designs here in this thread.
Nick said the winning design will get his or her name in lights on the face of the machine.

I'm with Jim, but for just a moment of sincerity wouldn't it kind of be counter positioned to Nick's core audience, the value cleaner, I mean who is gonna pay much more for the same machine with a facelift and some stainless? He probably should just keep on keepin' on with what he makes now.

I'd like to see him standardize on one or two simple designs and produce the same machine over and over again.

He should have never let the pix of his experimenting on HX ideas get out. In all honesty the basic units he sold us looked better in fit and finish, but not quite "mass production" quality.

I'd like to see him finally learn to:

1. Stay out of any bb controversy that is personal in nature.
2. Given his large phone bill, give priority to the occasional customer complaint call.
3. Use a grinder.

I know other mfg's like to pile onto Nick, but he at least makes a machine that doesn't eat belts or couplers, and it does get hot.

Hicks and Rampage left on their own accord. Personalities like theirs will never get warm fuzzies from the crowd and they could not handle it.

Bristor was never here and Nick had to go due to the above rules(mainly lying)

You know Mike is a stand up guy, he has given most if not all of those that have a problem with him, a chance to be here.

I think the culture drives away more people than any single individuals wrath.

Some people through their own actions cause their grief. Others by supporting an unpopular cause, become targets within the community.

Do you have to have a thick skin to be here....not really!

Hard to say which machine you saw, I've been to his place in Ann Arbor Michigan at least twice. Did not see the "poor quality" of which you speak.

However we have seldom had the need to go portable. Doesn't mean I need to diss the makers of portable equipment. Many guys do good work with them.

You don't like him because he's Rampage's friend.
