My starter went out in my PROCHEM BLAZER gt….I removed it and went over to O’REILEYS and luckily they matched the part and it was 17$…good luck
No. I did find it remanufactured but I prefer new. I’ve not had good luck with remanufactured starters. I repaired the crack and it seems fine. I will pick up the reman just in case and I already removed the panel blocking the rear bolt so it will be less than an hour to replace it.
$160 with the core.
I think a new one is about $400 if I could find one.
Everythang has gone up. A simple AR pump use to cost 225 now nearly 500.

Starters are manufactured to fit a certain solenoid rather than solenoids being designed and manufactured to to fit specific starters if that makes sense. In short if your in good with your local auto parts guy you might be able to go thru a few catalogs and parts on the shelf and find a solenoid that is the same as what you have. It might be to a starter for something totally different but it has the same solenoid. To give you an example of what I mean. I wanted chrome door handles for my 2007 shelby mustang. Ford didnt have um but i foumd the exact same handles that a were on my mustang in chrome on a lexas bought um and were an exact fit. In short as lomg as the starter is good if you're resourceful enough you dhould be able to find an exact fit solenoid.
