Yea, I watched you using some fancy spiny thing(in the grass) and a glass cleaner awhile back.

Have a huge shower with glass block walls on two sides. Any specific product you would recommend for soap scum/water deposits? Will just pre spraying the glass with tile products work? Something special? Hopefully local big box store has?

Anything special for chrome or stainless bath fixtures?

Don't know what's up with the showers lately, but this one needs caulk and a poop ton of work, also. Any special caulk recommendations? Something mildew resistant...?

One more question. The area on the lower left is a weep hole(or whatever you call it), correct? Not meant to be caulked? For drainage if it gets behind tile, right?

What's the best way to get the old crap out? Knife and a screw driver?

on a scrunge sponge.
rinse and polish with dry microfiber towel (or paper towels)
to a spotless shine .
If shower handle is acrylic, pull it so you can clean the inside of it

the shower head could very well be plastic, so careful using scrunge and abrasive cleaners on it

caulk
100% silicone or my favorite, Loctite brand Polyseal

to help prevent mold in the future, they'll have to wipe the water that lays there after every shower

etched and corroded shower doors and frame can be a PITA to make look new
Got no tips for that other than surest way to make new, is replace w/new

Jerry, shower scum is a mixture of lime and dried soap and it can be a mess.
You need a set of plastic scrapers, Barkeepers Friend and Flex (or other high ph powder).

You may a need stainless steel wool scrub pad, a decent brush and home made scrubbing disks made from floor pads. Not abrasive, but blue and red. On your Makita, they will help scrub without scratching.

Scrape the thickest scum, usually on and inder the soap dish. Then spray Flex and use whatever you need to scour the surface. Rinse. Repeat. Then switch to Barkeepers Froend and go over everything. It may take you two or three applications.

I promise that when it dries, you’ll find more scum down low. Just deal with it. I’ve had shower stalls take three hours or more to clean.

I use a squeegee to speed the drying, so I can see how it is going. Just keep at it, then bleach the rest.

Good luck!

i dunno......i jus cleaned a 98 Passat that the rear caliber caught on fire....
whole drivers side embedded with asbestos and iron ferrite.....NOTHING short of sanding would get it off......
so i started calling detail shops till one guy spilt the beans.....

GOTTA FLUSH as soon as possible then polish out using
a nanno tech product......

You know they stopped putting asbestos in brake linings before that 98 Passat was built
My buddy was GM of the Toyota-Volkswagen and bought the car brand new for his wife....it sat for about 3 years after he died and the caliber must of seized....and actually caught fire....she put a ton of money into it.......then gave it to me

I have it looking JUS LIKE NEW...
