My son is selling it like crazy but thinks a 3 to 1 return is sufficient.

I'd love to give him a well formulated spread sheet showing what it really is costing us to apply Cobbs $34 a gallon of RTU 1200 sf product..

The pig farmer way of approaching this would be to get him to apply it one gallon at a time and keep up with the number of s.f. he is getting out of a gallon. I'd do this for about a week to get an average.

Do you have a target per SQft you want him at? And explain that way.

Does he feel like he might be charging too much?

According to the bottle, Larry says roughly 800 to 1200 feet depending on face weight. So I would think close to $200 should be the goal.

Hard for me to bitch when we just had our best month in years and I only worked for 7 days of it...

1,200 sf @ .15 per sf = $180 / 4= $45 (I think this put's you a little higher than your target, Mike) even at 800 sq ft he is is coming out real well!

I charge up to 1/2 the cost of cleaning or as low as .15 per sq ft.

If our coverage is 1000 sqr ft and we charge .165ft = $165

Cost is product at $34 + $32 {20% to tech} = $66

$66 / by 40% = $165
60% gross profit

Not for me to say what is good or bad.

$34.00/1200sq/ft =$.028 about .03 cents a sq/ft is your product cost.

4-6 would seem very reasonable if you're selling a good product that has value to the client.
