Huge mistake? Dating clients...

OK,, for you bastards that don't know.. I'm damn near no longer married.

Pretty much been this way since last Nov.


Ok.. here is the problem.

I have this client that is the bomb! She has 6 sisters and I have cleaned for all of them but one.. She lives to far away, and all of them have given me tons of work from friends.

So to of the sisters when they heard of my situation suggested I take a friend of theirs out. That was the 1st part of the year.

Well last night I took her out. She is also a client. Maybe once every 2 years.

She is cute! Way cute. ( she should not be interested in me ) Lives close by.. ( 3 mins away ) But she is best friends with the core of many many MANY good clients.

Ok, she was jazzed with our date last night,, wants to see me again.

Am I playing with fire? Should I back off, or risk pissing her off down the road and losing $$$$..

My thoughts.. Maybe her friends, my great GREAT clients are more mature than that.

DO NOT jeopardize your business. Sure, date her, but never say or do anything you will regret getting back to your customers.

This will pass in six months to a year and you will be sane again...it's kind of like male menopause Nothing worse than a guy pushing forty and recently divorced.

As a personal note, be a lot more worried about what message your son gets than what message your clients get. No matter how great he seems to handle things now, it's tough for him, and things may get nasty once you or the ex get a new person in your lives and it will pull at his loyalties...believe me, I know, been there and done that more times than I care to say.

Mid-thirties is close enough to forty.

Married young and settled down and now you are wondering what you were missing all this time...it's an old story Becker, not unique.

Just remember, even though you and the ex are getting along okay now, that might change once you or she get a new love interest. Don't ever put that kid in the middle of the squabbles, and it's not easy to do.

I think we all saw it coming after your 4th of July pics....

We fished a coho Derby last weekend, We have a great time together.
