If you weren’t sure of the fiber...then spraying a low ph acid rinse over it first would’ve been my first try before using any peroxide or red treatment.
Is there a reason you didn’t try that?
just have them sign a waiver, you aren't responsible for the original stain and cannot guarantee the outcome although following best practice etc etcGood thing i see this now, cause ill say that there is no guarantee to remove it. And any cleaning procedure that remove the stain WILL damage the color or carpet or both.
That told you all you needed to know and jibes with your following results. If a proper water rinse yielded absolutely 0% improvement...This is after just water rinsing to remove as much pee pee as possible
To be honest I'm not sure wtf the fiber is, it's one of those that gets very dark when wet and the wand really grabs. You'd think it was wool, but it has that oily feel and no wet hair odor..

YepCould it be smartstrand silk?
When i initially bought that, i read somewhere i think Facebook to use it first with out heat and let it dwell for 10 to 15 min and then rinse. Almost never need to use heat because of it aggressiveness. That's how i have approached it ever since, and it works. So I tried the RedX it, which says on the bottle to use heat and almost instantly the carpet turned snow white.
I'm a cleaning god, not a spotting god.
Never having worked in the gettOH, my practice has always been minimal. I bet I've used 6 quarts of red dye remover over my 30 years
I really need to learn how to patch.
Do you find that to be effective on Phenazopyridine /dyes?I just clean it with Bio 8
Sometimes I pretreat it with P-Sor
It almost always comes out
I don’t bore them with Professorial blathering
Idiots
A wet towel and weight and a day would be been better.

Mikey never lets the facts get in the way.S100 is being rewritten at this time. One major hurdle is that the content is determined by consensus, agreement of a super-majority of those volunteers helping to write this. Consensus is way difference than proven scientific fact. With many parties having a vested interest, it is hard to get agreement on facts. It is also tough to write facts in a manner easily understood by most carpet cleaners. (yes, you guys are all brilliant, but you are the exceptions.)
Once the S100 is revised, then the exam is likely to have many polyester question. But I see that as likely 2 years or more away.
