Here it is....... Clean out your waste tank. Pretty obvious eh? Well, It wasn't for me. I didn't really think it made that much of a difference. But, I have been experiencing weak vacuum when I pick up the wand. Suction on the carpet was good, but it sounded like I was sucking shampoo when I lifted the wand after a stroke. I'm sorry to say, it has been 2 years since I gave the tank a good cleaning and the bottom of the tank was free of debris, except on one end there was about four gallons worth of sand and carpet fiber (mostly sand) built up. On the other end the sides of the tank were covered with muck and the baffle holes were literally closed also. So, I found the cause of the vac loss has been discovered and the tank is now back to a respectable state. Considering the cost of a sapphire tank is about 2500.00, you'd think I'd take better care of it.

I used a trigger gun and a pressure washer tip and jet the debris out. Depending on how you have your setup. I angle my truck and drain it easily. Getting a lot of that sand out is nasty after sometime sitting there.

heres another tip!

Since most tanks are made of aluminum, it never hurts to apply FlexSeal to the bottom and up the walls 8 inches when it is new. NOTHING sticks to it!

thats the big downfall of the sapphire box, the clear lid is cool but it lets sooo much debris pass that other filters with paint strainers catch.

I have a Sapphire box filter but have gotten lazy.
Yeah me too. I love everything about it. Except how it filters out crud. The basket just lets stuff past. If I’m gonna have a filter I have to hook up every time, I don’t wanna have to empty the waste tank basket filter every other day. I stole/ permanently borrowed a Butler filter box and run paint filters.

Haha! This is a 210 all day vac tank that came with a unit I purchased. It is being installed into my daily driver to replace the 100 gallon tank presently in my AquaTech.
The modified filter basket with 5 gallon paint strainer bag really turns these tanks into deep breathers! I laid in all new gaskets on lids using premium gasket material used on truck toppers.
I dissected the stock waste basket to accept the paint filters by cutting off the bottom 2/3rds of the aluminium material and taking 1/4" of the top lip off all the way around. Paint filters fit perfectly and are a cinch to change out.
The same mods could probably be done to the Cleanco vac tanks, although I haven'the checked them out closely.

Hmm, haven't thought about that for 30 years---when we started using Butlers, but we still clean the tanks out every couple years. No difference in suction, though.

No filter or screen here, I give the sewer district my lint for 15 years now. Just a new pantyhose on my blower filters once per week. Spray down the sides and move on....

1st place in the almost vintage modified class of AquaTechs for 2018. 2019 version in the works. I am swapping out the 100 gallon waste tank for the 210 all day tank this winter.
Both HP and vac hoses run out of the back doors Bawb. Valves seen below are the waste clean-out and fresh water supply/drain.
The grey hose is for vac tank emptying.
