Someone local gave it to me for a trade on a burnisher I had sitting around

Any tips on how to get the best out of these machines or should I just put it up for sale somewhere.

You know I’m a wand guy, but if it can make my job any easier on trashed carpet, I’m open for suggestions.

You'll complain about it anyway.. Give it a go.. ChemDry loves them at 200psi..

It's a love it or hate it for older geezers.. Too heavy for them to take off the truck, while people who love rotary extraction swear by them..

Which model do you have? The old low speed has a horizontal motor while the newer ones have the vertical motors.. Some have glides but not sure if GG still offers them.. You can get a bonnet head to use it for scrubbing or padding..

Show a pic Woody!

I’ve never used one, so I can’t give you any advice specifically related to it. However, if it’s anything like a Rotovac, then I’d like to suggest that you keep it around until you run into a job that is so trashed that you really don’t want to clean it. You might be happy you have it.
Don’t get in a hurry.
Might want to turn your pressure down.
If drying time is a concern, bring fans.

The handle is probably too short for you. Good machines but slow and they use a lot of water. Good on trashed commercial carpet as the cleaning heads are individually spring loaded unlike the rotovacs.

Where the RX20 does shine is the uneven floors.. It'll contour to them..

Long ago, Orbitec Clark made a retro kit for the RX20 that I would have loved to have.. His son Scott would probably be down to make it again.. It kept the wheels down on the ground while pushing it, removing the need to balance it..
