I am 5'4" tall and I need back surgery.
Actually, that was one of the better long posts I’ve read in a while seriously!I owned an Orbot and I now have two Tops. I am 5'4" tall and I need back surgery. I have no problem lifting the Tops machine into my van. The orbot seemed more "awkward" to lift. The handle needed to be tilted back to fit int the van. I can lift the tops with one hand on the handle on the front and the other hand on the hook that holds the solution bottle and I lift it up to the floor of the van.
As for the difference in cleaning between the two: the orbot is smooth and easier to push. I think they clean about the same. The tops I can have numerous solution bottles filled and quickly switch them out when they need it. The orbot you have to refill the solution tank which is considerably slower. Another trivial thing is the tops machine will push the power cord out of the way. The orbot will want to wrap the cord around the driver.
Both machines are good. If I still owned an orbot I wouldn't replace it with a tops unless it was time to replace it. If I was buying a new machine and didn't own one already I would buy a tops. The only reason I got rid of my orbot is because it was sitting and a local guy needed one so i sold it. Now that I'm doing a lot more VLM, the tops is my choice.

I never used the weight kit. The new owner never takes them off. I honestly don't VLM anything that's really dirty, so I can't speak to that comparison. Are you (having too) use the weight kit to get the Orbot to work as well as the TOPS?

I find my Sprayborg awkward to lift into the van as well. The Phoenix is much easier. I do find the Sprayborg is easier to go up and down stairs with. My buildings all have elevators but I have one with 6 stairs in the middle of the hallway on each floor. Both are good, well built machines. I find the Phoenix a little faster. Both my machines take the same 2.5 gallon jugs. I usually use my Phoenix with my Sprayborg as a backup.I owned an Orbot and I now have two Tops. I am 5'4" tall and I need back surgery. Why so far?Yeah, I hardly ever use the weight kit also. It works just fine. Im sure the weight helps with the scrub a dub. It certainly makes it glide across the carpet like a Mack Truck.
Well it looks like I may be heading to San Diego to get my new R-18 Roctane. So exciting. Don't care what anyone thinks It's going to look good in my living room.
