It depends. Brass more often than stainless.
Two things to look for: spray pattern, and measured flow via bucket test.
Bucket test a NEW 06 flow combination into a bucket as a baseline comparison. Worn jets flow more water in a narrower more ragged pattern, leaving gaps.
Brass should be good for 1000 hours, SS three or four times that.

Lee you're crazy if you think jets will last 3k hours.
Change them every 6 months to a year or 500 hours.

It depends (typical pressure, water quality, abuse, temperature). TEST to find out.

Put a in-line filter after the quick connect and put all 02 jets on it. I have the same wand and had the same set up. Changed to 02 SS jets with small check valves no clogs and jets last a least a year. You will like how you will be able to flush out the carpet.

9504's on the quad , stainless, and i never change them. the flow and pattern look as good as new.

Your "gauge temperature" would go down, but the HEAT energy delivered to the carpet would go UP.

Nothing new.
Just pay attention to the cleaning results, if no issues, just keep plugging along. Chances are the jets are just fine.
P.S. Wasn't it Pink (as in Floyd) that said in "The wall"-
"Hey, cleaners!
Leave them jets alone!"

Daniel the heat is just fine and going exactly where its needed. my gauge reads 220 at the truck which is where i keep it regardless of flow , unless i use 2 wands. a diesel burner solves that problem.
