made a bunch of dry passes.
That is the key. Watch the pressure the jets are so close to the carpet that if the pressure is too high you blow the water through the carpet and the backing will stay wet but the top will feel dry. I was doing an entryway cutout 2 days after I had cleaned the carpet reached my hand underneath and felt it, is how I know that. 350 to 400 is all you really want to use with the rotovacs.

If it doesn't go off with your hydro meter but it's still wet, your batteries are dead.

Right? An innocuous little post about a tool I used one time turns in to a war about claims I don’t make!
So what.

How many jobs per day?
In this case only one, but I work alone so I’m not doing more than three a day anyway . I made all the passes in this particular house because both husband and wife are really old and in really bad shape, every carpeted room meets tile with either a glazed finish or with acrylic over the top of it so I go out of my way to make sure it drys fast. Normally right after I wand it I’d take my 175 and dry bonnet after so it’s literally bone dry in a little over an hour, but that little tool made it way easier, was definitely dry in the same time without hauling out the monster!

It's wet until it's dry. Not when something doesn't mark it up. If you hype the drying times, you may have passed the furniture that you have moved but the customer is going to start putting back the items they have moved. Like the wicker laundry hamper or steel waste can or the nesting tables. You may be surprised if you go back 4 hours later and test with a moisture detector, that it is still wet. Moisture wicks upward. If the top is dry, the bottom is dry. Your hands, knees or paper towels are not much of a test.
Didn’t hype the dry time, first time I used the tool, and it was definitely dry when I left, even with a wand it never takes 4 hours to dry, I’ve cleaned the place 4 times now.

I run a newer Cleanco with a 47 blower. Now, it’s supposed to be ran at 2850.... well fook that, I run mine at 3450.... AND, I run 2.5 inch hose to the door.... I then run 2” all the way to the tool... I maintain the shyte out of my machine(vac off the blower filters daily), and clean them with soap and water every 10-14 days.... WITH AN OLD SONIC TOOTH BRUSH.... I’ve got ZERO air leaks from the head of my wand, all the way to to the waste tank.... and there’s no way, IN THE COLDEST DAY OF HELL, do I get 15 min. dry times.....
I’ve got a big hose too!

After day two, I gotta say it was pretty cool to be able to easily grab the tool and carry it in one hand 150 feet away up a flight of stairs and into a unit while carrying my clipboard in the other hand. Even without the brush head I was able to turn this driveway back into a carpet again without anywhere near as much effort, tool is amazing!

It's not dry until you can put a moisture sensor on it and it says it's dry. Start telling your customers it's dry in 30 minutes to an hour and you will spend the rest of your life going back to remove rust and furniture stains.

True a fan will leave it feeling dry then the you go back and feel 15 minutes later it’s damp again water continues to evaporate

er... what? It's a large metal, heavy piece of equipment. I have had the DHX for 7 years and the only thing I have had to replace is a head every few years
