Geez- I poked out 1150 today on 2 in 8 hours and still reading this thread makes me feel , well, inadequate,,,,,, incapable,,,,,lacking

Heck no. $1000 a day is a great number! The $3400 is our all time best in 1van through 18yrs. I'm thrilled personally with $800 or over a day in a van

Yeah doing 1K in a day is nothing to hang your head about - thats a solid number. For us, we've worked A LOT on our inside sales system. We've tested many different scripts, packages, pricing etc to find the sweet spot and thats allowed us to be more consistant with our revenue and increase our additional services sold per job.

Look at it this way: You can sell 10K a week in services to your customers. I know you can because I know several people that do this regularly. Its just a matter of having all your ducks in a row and having a solid image, presentation etc.

Keep rockin man!

Nothings changed......

Well, I don't visit these sites very much anymore, but I see nothing has changed. #1 I don't believe you. Post all the screenshots you want. #2 If it is true, you are a morally bankrupt human. Just because you can is no reason to take advantage of someone. The 15 year guarantee is brilliant. Nobody's going to hang on to that receipt for that long. Chances are they won't even own the house in 15 years. I'm all about making money, but ethically......Karma is a witch.

I retract the part of my post above labeling Ben as a morally bankrupt human. I don't know him other than his bb persona. The rest of the post I stand behind.

Ben, I noticed your website got dropped off the face of the world(google). How has that affected your business? Do you have a new site in the works?

You sure about that?

Personally I'm not sure how the fees are justified.

Gift basket include a few oz of pure wa premo bud?

Got to be more value than a days worth of work from a single tech for most people to justify.

But really.... I've always said. If it works for a guy. No matter if he charges 4.99 a room. Or 499. A room. And the business uses honest tactics.

I really think business comes down to selling a brand.. Ben has a good looking brand from the outside and in this area we live in people will pay for it. Last I heard ben charges $40-$80 a room, I am sure depending on the size of the room and what kind of car they have in the driveway. I worked at SS and it had a similar mentality as far as sells.. one of my customer mistaken bens company for mine when he was still greenclean and they had to kick their tech out (Eric, which is bens brother and the same tech mentioned in this thread) because he was to relentless with his sales tactic and wanted to charge hundreds more over the original quote.

SS pushes sales a lot and really gets the most out of their tech BUT they have to stay within a price guideline.. just from how ben represents himself I would put money on it that ben just says charge as much as you can get. So you have a software guy that is naive about using a service company and gets taken by one of bens well trained techs.. His brother was able to really take advantage of the situation, his income and here is ben talking about a big ticket.. which that upon itself is questionable just because of bens history.

So you have to ask if its ethical business to take advantage of someone by charging more than what your regular prices usually are, just because you can? At Coit they would do that, they left so much wiggle room with their pricing that the tech had full control of getting the most out of the customer. Back in the day I worked for this O/O and I was sent out to do an estimate and it turned out to be a house owned by our old basketball team the Sonics.. Once he heard who owned it I was just told to take an inventory of the house that was cleanable and bring the estimate back to him.. It was the same thing as bens job.. the Sonics PAID inflated prices, probably one of the reasons they were sold.

But take note of the branding ben is doing, that is one of the best things a business can do.. most people in our industry don't fully understand how important branding is and actually have that brand looks good. You have to give props to ben for the look of his brand.. the substance to his brand is a little too gimmicky with his magic water, but you gotta have an angle to stand out. But this is the same guy who claimed his trucks EACH do over a million dollars a year and that he created the zerorez system.. so.. yeah..

Hows things going Don? I saw you the other day in your work van in Mill Creek.

If the work was done well and client is happy that's all that matters. Some times you just get one like this.

For instance, our last job scheduled for a staircase & living room turns out to be the better part of $700.

Property owner rented home out and tenants destroyed it. Here's a picture of the travertine demo.

I did a tile demo spot the other day on a polluted 2-story that just listed. Good damb thing I picked an spot out of the way cause it stood out like a sore thumb. Apparently it's caused a rift between the owner and the Agent cause my clean spot has revealed how repugnant the owner has been living, and she's got zero cash to clean things up. And the Agent actually questioned what exactly I did. Are you kidding?; I wetted a 18"x18" with Oxyblaster, dwelled fer 10 min, brushed for 10 sec and wiped with a micro fiber. I got a little uppity with him and said hey you wanted a bid on the tile as well and when I charge .95 don't ya think a test spot is in order? If I'd done that in the middle of the kitchen it would have been a fart in a space suit. But in the middle of a room it certainly forces a customer to have a sales/conversation.

Kind of douchey to me to demo in the middle of the floor.

I talked to a one man show about doing a hard wood job for me .He was over 50 years old and had a 50 year guarantee on his hard wood and installation . I did not hire him.
I am doing a restorative cleaning for a company for 25% of replacement and am saving them an average equal to 25- 30Ka year. I could have charged double that but I am doing extremely well on this. I now have PO# coming at me like crazy for other non related work. It is a win win. Treating people properly and Karma is my secret weapon.
