I don't see the use of
glide on the residential carpet where there is enough air movement under the head.
Prochem Ti has a wide mouth, lips are nicely rounded, and the wand glides just fine. I don't have to throw the wand forward, and I like to keep it on the carpet most of the time and let it breathe after a few strokes.
The commercial carpet is slightly differrent. The way the others described my" struggles," at the count of 23 restaurants, I should be either Hercules or in a wheelchair. None of it it's true. I would be more concerned about blooming using pads than my wands. I use Brush Pro 20 with renovators, so I'm not throwing all that nasty stuff around. I like to use oreck on the stairs, and on most of the jobs, I use air movers, so when I get an excellent review, I feel appreciated instead of entitled. Reading all that, I don't feel like a hack, but I'm willing to try a glide if I can get one. I used slotted glide( Teflon) many years ago and felt that, contrary to popular belief, I didn't make the carpet dry enough, even with extra dry passes. The glide was used on two jets wand with a number 6 flow. Both of my 6 jet wands are running
"only" on number 10 flow, so I don't think I'm over-wetting the carpet. I'm also satisfied with my current setup
( Reliabilt) and hopeful of adding another in less than two months.
Who distributes green glides? Is it Mike P?
If I were to use glide, I don't think it would be hybrid; I don't want to dig debris from the holes. I have slotted glides on Bonzer. What's your take on hybrid glides?
Sorry, I have not addressed every one of you individually; I instead summarized my thoughts in one post in the hope that I covered all of the comments, well, for the most part.
