My first slide in was a WM pro 1700 but wasn't very magic. The filter box always smelled even after cleaning the filter. the water always stayed in the bottom. I drilled a hole at the very bottom of the box then put a male fitting with a hose and ball valve end. when the unit was off I could flush the box with fresh water to keep it clean and no smell any more. A little work but worth it. jz.

I get that water in the box when the filter or lint sock is dirty. I take it out hose it off and stick the garden hose in the vac port for about ten minutes and dump that water and I'm ready to go.

I think my water filter was leaking. I have been fixing leakes and hope that's the last one. My pump seams like it was getting air especially at higher pressures.

Heading to Modernistic tomorrow for a new clutch. It's been whining and knocking since I got this van but it's gotten worse lately.

Ball joints are in the near future too.

I must have put over 300 hours on it this summer probably more. The meter flipped but the 3 didn't change so no telling how many hours this thing has on it. The 3 is the thousand hour spot.

Drove to Troy with a bad fuel pump. It was sputtering all the way there. Pouring rain both directions. Next day did five jobs and it died after I dropped off the invoice.

Put a starter in the week before. Need a upper control arm yet and a new blower may be needed sooner than I had hoped.

Glad I raised my prices lol.

Oh and the driveshaft bearings may need replacing soon too.

Still loving it though.

There was no rust at all on this thing and now I'm seeing two spots that need some work and it ain't even winter yet!

Let's see, I've fixed some weather stripping and and a door latch and have another latch to fix before winter.

And mikey is worried about a dented bumper bahaha.

used vehicles are always fun. spent about $1500 last week on new bushings and tie rod ends and new brakes. Today, my diesel van died, probably need new fuel pump, hope it's not the injector pump. Have to tow it to my mechanic on Monday. Heck, it's only got about 400,000 kilometers on it. I haven't installed my backup unit yet, still working on the flow switch for the kero heater. Am considering purchasing a used Prochem Blazer as another backup. about $5000 in a 1999 dodge van. Clean unit installed by a guy I used to know and work with. Not the most powerful but pretty reliable.

Ah OK someone offered me something in a trailer same time I went to get this.

I still feel like I got a great deal. $3000 and drove it from Jersey to west side of Michigan. Been running it since.

Here we go again. Only this time I dumped about ten gallons of gas at the same place the fuel pump went out last time.

Just got in. The gas spill was on a frozen parking lot at the same complex I broke down at last time.

I covered the spill,about two parking spaces, with sand. Had to go break through some ice and snow at my daughter's.

They have a crew that does accident cleanup coming to remove and dispose of the dirt.

I tried talking the maintenance guy into letting me hose it down and clean it up but he was nervous about the amount of gas. He called the district manager over the complex managers wanting to let me handle it.

Then had to freeze proof the van because the shop won't pull it in or run a heater due to the gas smell.

Crazy...

It's not like diesel. Unleaded is very explosive

Looking at two grand for cleanup. Vans not fixed yet but sounds like they are already denying responsibility. Says a sensor went out. This might get interesting.

I don't understand how it can spew out that much gas. Was it coming out of fuel lines or directly out of the tank?

I don't know. It looked like a shower. Must've leaked for 20 minutes maybe.

Yep something is fishy. Now it's the line to the fuel filter. I think it wasn't put on correctly.

After I talked with the shop owner he wrote the bill off.

I get the sense he knows they messed up and only after I mentioned the clean up cost did he offer to write it off.

Not sure I'll get anywhere but I'm going back in a couple days with more info

Funny, he took responsibility for the leak but then said the problem wasn't something they worked on.

I'd probably win in court but I'm eating this one. First one in my ten years, I guess I can't complain much.

I tweaked some settings the other day (rpm and vac) not much but what a difference. Every repair changes the way it runs. There have been a lot of repairs lol
