This is not a new problem. When I was a young teen my father had a customer he recently cleaned for insist their dog didn't urinate in the house and that the new spots where something else.

He just said: "It might not be your dog, but it is urine. Perhaps you have very large mice?"

His humor escaped her, but even though he lost the customer, he got a good laugh from it.

I informed him that there was little chance that I could improve the condition of the carpet in any meaningful way so it would be better for me to just continue on to my next appointment.
