At least one manufacturer knows how to design a clear top on their Upholstery Tool . . .
22 Jets and Dual Vac Slots . . . Comfort Grip

For what its worth,
The trigger on my SS uph tool stays locked on, and i always wished I could have a parker flow valve somewhere OTHER than the fookin END of the tool.

I set my needle valve to what I want it...locked it...and I have never touched it since I bought it...
as far as I am concerned all it does is save me from going out to the van and adjusting the PSI so I don't blow out the valve on the UPH tool...

At the very least the valve could have been put on the side like the Prochem tool. Still out of the way and with in reach if you're someone that likes to mess with the flow.

As it is, it looks like a toy for porty users, or for those that rarely clean upholstery.

Someone that doesn't know the issues of putting a valve in the way of processing. :icon_rolleyes:

I look forward to version 2. ;)

Commercial upholstery is almost error proof...almost. You can seriously train anyone to clean commercial upholstery within minutes because the fabric is generally more durable and color stable.

They will still need an attention for detail and a working knowledge of spotting fabrics but much less concern than cleaning special care fabrics in a home.

If I have my way, Ill never set foot in another house, and keep doing 10k+ commercial jobs nearly every week.
Nothing wrong with that if you can get it.

As most new tools I want to try one before just saying it doesn't work, so I think I will order one of these new cobb upholstery tools as I can't find one elsewhere, and try it my self.

Are there plans to make a version where the valve is not in the way?

I like the design other than the position of the valve. :errf:
Totally agree.
Get the freaking valve out of the way. I can already count all the snapped fibers. Who's the doof who gives these guys advise?
And do get a trigger. Some of us do not like working with continuous flow.
I'll be happy to try the tool and the RV one too.

I never said it won't work. It looks like a good tool....some dumbass just stuck a valve in a bad spot.

Seriously it looks good but that is a flaw I can see in design.

Will it get in the way all the time? It might.

If you don't clean that much upholstery maybe it won't frustrate you but if you clean a lot of upholstery you likely get tired of the nuisance of dealing with it.

I'd shoot the fool that positioned that valve. :winky:

You're the first person I thought of when I saw the picture. You're always complaining (rightly so) that designers don't get enough input from cleaners when designing tools. This is a definitely a "toe stub". :errf:

"Build and learn!"

Richard;

How are your orders for Clear SS tools coming ?

Oh that's right . . . they refuse to give cleaners the design everybody wants . . .

Larry,

How much is a replacement top for that tool?

How old is the oldest one in daily use in the field?

I have no dog in the "clear head" fight.

When he wants to argue on the position of the stoopit valve I have my opinion on it.

Just direct me to the fooo that designed it.
