Passenger vans

I have been looking for a extended van for awhile now and they are hard to find and overpriced. I have noticed that the passenger vans are sold for thousands cheaper with less miles. My wife is against me getting one. She doesn’t like all of the windows. I can agree with her about that.
What are the challenges of doing a passenger van?
Do you leave all of the crap on the walls or rip it out and cover the windows?
I’m sure there are a few more options since it’s designed for travel and not a hourly employee.

I purchased one similar to this one in the video.
1 ton extended 15 passenger with tinted windows.
I was having the same problem finding a used 1 ton cargo as people that get them tend to drive them till they are whipped.
I have had more compliments on the looks of this one vs any cargo van I have owned.

We have one like Kevin's. Windows are tinted so dark we lettered it like the others. It's a nice van I think it rides better because it was intended to carry the 15 passengers.

Search in city's with large airports such as Dallas.

Mine was an airport runner where it's 34k miles we're put in in one year

You can get a van that size delivered to you for most anywhere in the country for about a thousand bucks

I have noticed in the newer models they have side airbags in the rear. I guess this would all have to be disabled or removed. If you had an accident it would blow crap everywhere.

I have car port..its 10 feet clearance...high enough for those uhaul 10 ft or 14 ft. No garage, so i will have to plug in a heater unit. I'm okay with that.

The passenger vans have the 6.0 motor in them. I like that better than the 4.8 Do you guys take out the headliner in the rear?

No.....but you might have to remove the heater..

I agree depending on the machine, most will not fit with the waste tank behind the console. Unless you remove the rear heater.

I have a lg heater and a homemade tcs machine. Getting ready to order a new waste tank. Stainless this time.
Do you sell all of the seats to a salvage yard. I wonder what I could get for the airbags in the rear.
I noticed the passenger vans have power mirrors.

Which would mean NONE of yor bags would work

I love the 6.0 even with the TM, gear and 1680 lbs. of water onboard plenty of power.
I did not remove my headliner, no reason to.

Other than being a little higher those box vans are about the same width and length as a regular cargo van.

Of course I understand cold climates changes the appeal. My Minnesota van fit into my heated garage.

I really want a 12 foot box truck. Unfortunately many of rentals I clean have no parking or you have to park in a carport. Someday I will get rid of them like I did the restaurants.

As for the lg heat I have never had a problem with it. love the instant heat. looking at getting the #4 that is rated for 2200 psi.

Been using LG's for 30 years. Hasn't gone boom yet. Maybe don't close your van doors when using.
