Ok so Chevy says van ready to go but I should tow it to Northridge.

Aprox $500 to tow it 62 miles.

they day it’s a couple bad fuel injectors but won’t know for sure until they tear it down.

I figure I bought the van through Empire they got it through a place in Oklahoma the place hydramaster uses.

Well I’m going to have towed tomorrow to Northridge. But I’am not having. It towed back to the AV.

There a Chevy dealership in Northridge.

I’ll bring it there and let them work on it.

Afterwards Empire will send somebody to pick it up and and reinstall the clutch drive and I can go pick it up.

This went from a evap code and possible bad pressure censor in the gas tank to, running horrible after battery was changed and new spark plugs.

To now the engine is fubar.

Really unbelievable. I hope they can get it going I have a $1000 payment this month and have used it three days.

When it works it’s great and besides the fuel pump 4-5 days down it’s been great.

But if this takes two weeks, I’ll sell it and never buy another direct drive ever.

It’s to hot here!

They seem to mostly resolve these issues without explicitly describing the issues to either their potential customers or competitors.

Talked to the guy from Butler, he said they do a lot of Mods like Saiger said, and they get the extend lower train warranty to 100k miles.

They have certain dealerships through out the country they recommend for repair on the van.

Or they’ll call and talk
To the service dept. for you to help them through the design and systems.

Lastly I’ll be sending my serial number and getting a new fan for the front of the truck hopefully it’s an easy swap.

Rydell Chevrolet... 30 minutes from my home town of Warren, MN in Grand Forks, No. Dakota and Grand Forks was the start of our family business 53 years ago.

AND ON OPENING THE HOOD....

DON'T DO IT!

Butler has tested the crap out of this concept and they have taken it even a step further to cool the engine compartment, and transmission and fuel pump... But they also have concluded running with the hood closed is better

Apparently the mass air flow censor was unplugged and caused the car to run rough.

Once they put it back on and
Reset the computer they waited for the code to pop and this is all they found. Runs good now.

If you haven’t been to the Butler factory, you owe it to yourself Lee. The mechanical/engineering side of you would truly appreciate the craftsmanship

The ‘secret’ to their success is a long standing platform and consistency in their long term installers

I couldn’t imagine having a jiffy lube flunky ripping apart my BRAND new van and install some parts that haven’t even been R&D ‘d for very long

Butler brought all their installs back to Ludlow due to quality control issues

Man I feel for you brother!

I just put $3500 into my 2005 Butler van for Tires, Brakes, front end rods and misc other stuff

Totally worth the investment cause these new Chevy vans are not all that great
