Today, several customers have had wire-braid rubber hoses spewing out a lot of black water from freeze damage from the cold weather.

Visible Internal damage to the hoses from freezing.

Mikey;

Parflex 1035HT is ~8% higher than the new Blue Thermoplastic hose.

Took a picture of this import hose to show another flow restriction hazard.

Notice the size of the crimp opening (only about 50% of normal size)

I've seen this on many import hoses:

Larry, when the hoses need re-crimped, is the normal hose crimping method able to be done on these types of hoses?

Sure, this hose can be crimped with Parker crimps for 1035,

Synflex 3903 Hose crimps, or other crimps for 100R7 thermoplastic hose.

I have no clue what those numbers are. Will my hose shop use those numbers or do I need to buy the crimps from you to take to them?

Yes.

I’ll reword it so you understand Larry’s answer. ...... The 2” ball will fit into the tongue of the 2” trailer hitch.

Once you see how hot the summer gets in Redding, CA. And how just one semi large earthquake away they are from floating all the way down to Mexico.
You'll forgive Norman 74.

Had to add this report from up north:

Ron Werner
" Yes. I'm really liking this new hose. Its light, takes the pressure and heat (well, my tm doesn't challenge it too much on the heat dept unfortunately) and it is EXTREMELY flexible. It doesn't coil near as much as the orange Parflex hose I have. I still coil it lariat style, ie over under loops."
--------------
Get some before the sale is over later this month.

Are you suggesting that we need to NOT roll this up on the hose reel?

Hey Larry, what kind of metal are these crimps? They almost look like brass, but I’m not certain. Just curios. I’m excited to test my first thermoplastic hose tomorrow.

Lookie..

Going to torture it tomorrow up in Tahoe

Almost to pretty to use.

That "do not use with steam" disclaimer on the hose might give a lawyer a run for its money

Sorry, but WTF!!! Who the hell sells a solution hose for the carpet cleaning industry with “Do not use with steam” printed on it. Seriously!

I hate to say it but this seems like a Mytee move.

Most hoses have similar warnings. Maybe not printed on them but are in the specifications. Some hoses are dual purpose and have a separate hot water and steam rating. When using steam, you are using lots of vapor and very little water. Usually 5 percent or less.

That warning is for an actual "steam generator" which requires a hose capable of 350 degrees F.

This hose was designed for Carpet Cleaning at up to 250 degrees F.

------------

Matt; . . Excellent photo of the hose . . . The crimps are plated steel to reduce corrosion.

Let us know how you like it . . .

im interested, The air hose we use for fresh incoming water is thermoplastic and its actually really nice.

Is there any possibility of getting 175ft section? thats what we always order, its the max that fits on our reels. Also its what we have found to be the perfect length to almost never need an extension.

150ft comes up short and 200ft is longer than you need on 95% of our jobs, plus too long to fit on the reels

Do you supply these types of crimps if they don't start rusting so soon?
