Check out PMF tools. I have a couple of 1-1/2 inch of their tools, one with a medium long handle and another with a longer handle. I use the shorter one in residential and the longer in commercial when I have multiple staircases. both are light and maneuverable. I also have the prochem tool and I rarely use it. too small.

Of the 6-8 we had in Atlanta few were impressive. Many were just damn awkward. Some looked good but didn't handle as well as they looked. It was obvious a few were not designed by a real cleaner.

Saiger's design. It was the easest to handle with the most benefit. "S" bend looked cool but not practical. The strange triggered Mighty proved awkward to use. That trigger might work better on a wand. ??

RotoVac StairPro. Up next for me is the MagicWand Hugger for bullnosing. All these guys expound on the benefits of rotary cleaning, but not many have adopted it for stair cleaning. ? is why not?Stairs are probably the most under vacuumed piece of carpet in the whole house. Up your game and dig embedded dirt out like magic.

Problem with the StairPro is how how much water it splashes around. I only pull it out on the extremely bad ones that require restoration cleaning. For me, only a few time a year. But, those jobs I'm sure glad I have it.

No!!!!!!! And I think it's a salad bowl. :icon_rolleyes:

It's a single head adapted from the old school roto vac twin head power wand. With a short handle. Crazy aggressive on stairs. They still sell them upon request. I put some green glides on mine.

My daily stair tool is the pmf swivel with green glides like Saiger.

Is the the dog bowl lookin thing? :headscratch:[/QUOT

The RVStairPro >aka Jr< in my terminology, is my go-to cleaning tool. I have several, and have removed 2 out of the 3 jets in the cleaning chamber. The remaining jet is choked down to a 1.5 size. Yes it still pumps out a ton of H2O. I doubt if it oversprays any more than any of the exposed-jet tools mentioned. I can heel it over the bullnosing, but I will be ordering said Hugger soon.....and yes, I can vacuum the tread dry prior to cleaner application and flushing.

Is there some kind of adapter to keep on this 1.5" wimpy wand to expand it to 2"? Yes I bought one recently and never use it.
Did you just answer your own question?

But seriously, any supplier should have a reducer in stock to ship to you.

I run about 6 - 8 feet...son in law runs about 3 feet....

I actually have an 18 inch section of 1.5 inch that works great for me, much easier then a reducer. A longer one like Marks would probably be even better but wouldn't fit where I keep it.

I put a variable flow reducer on mine but it still slings water on the wall. Won't use if the custy is in the house. I love how great it gets the bull nose. Glad I have it on the truck.

I had to get the green glides for it becuase it wouldn't even turn with the 15" lift and 2.5" hose on the Butler running on high.

I have a straight 18 inch from Tony. It has a 2 inch flare so no need to reduce. I like it. I also had the stubby, its an overwetting peice of junk imo.

I had the PMF swivel stair tool. It clean well and was comfortable for a short guy like me but it was a screamer. I couldn't handle the noise, even with a hole GG.(and no there wasn't anything stuck in the glide or tube)
