RotoVac StairPro. Up next for me is the MagicWand Hugger for bullnosing. All these guys expound on the benefits of rotary cleaning, but not many have adopted it for stair cleaning. ? is why not?Stairs are probably the most under vacuumed piece of carpet in the whole house. Up your game and dig embedded dirt out like magic.

Reason being, I went shorter than 40" twice like an IDIOT! I bought the 18" westpak, and the 20" prochem like an IDIOT! My back is killing me when I get done with stairs
Did you just answer your own question? Is there some kind of adapter to keep on this 1.5" wimpy wand to expand it to 2"? Yes I bought one recently and never use it.
The RVStairPro >aka Jr< in my terminology, is my go-to cleaning tool. I have several, and have removed 2 out of the 3 jets in the cleaning chamber. The remaining jet is choked down to a 1.5 size. Yes it still pumps out a ton of H2O. I doubt if it oversprays any more than any of the exposed-jet tools mentioned. I can heel it over the bullnosing, but I will be ordering said Hugger soon.....and yes, I can vacuum the tread dry prior to cleaner application and flushing.
Man that looks awkward. Having never used one its sorta hard to speak to it but it sure looks like a lot of effort for tread work only.
