You know UL is expensive for a small manufacturer and just because it doesn't have the UL listing doesn't mean it's not safe. John has been making machines forever and to my knowledge never had incident Mr debil.

The best advice I can offer anyone in business is that if people are happy they'll tell 2-3 people. If they're unhappy they'll tell everyone they know & a few strangers that will listen. I prefer to keep people because it's the right thing to do both for my conscience and my pocket book. Ya, but when it IS UL listed, you know that it IS safe.

Any engineers test that thing to be sure it's not improperly grounded? Are the switches approved for the current supplied?

I remember somebody having a problem with some op machine in 06/07.... anybody remember that episode?

John is not saying squat in the mod room, keeping it all private as he said he would from the beginning. Your video shows a problem, nothing more. No one but you &/or John know how it came to be. I personally am disappointed this thing is being publicized, rather than being handled through moral and civil channels. Feels slimy.

The handle is indeed bent.

Todd is not happy with the way the machine handles/performs with cotton pads which is what he wanted to use when he VLMs apartments.

John is making a costly mistake letting this go public..

This has turned into a pr nightmare and an incident that will have consequences on the sale of any machine made by John.

I don't believe Todd is down talking the machine at all he just wanted a straight and true machine. All these threats to take to court for defamation or whatever are bogus. Especially when John doesn't come on here and say his side regardless if he is going to court or not.

john might win in court and loose in the carpet cleaning industry. Just my extra 5 cents.

He was and for your info Connor I was born in Germany while my father was stationed there. Not that I remember it, he was transfered back before I was even 8-months BUT I can claim citizenship if wanted to.

Who really gains from that offer, Miguel? At this point John should just take his lumps and take that machine back and refund the money. If it were me, I'd leave those videos up until I got my refund and only then, but that's only if I were satisfied before any court proceedings after court. They'd be a testimony for all times of what I had endured.

If it were just an handle issue,then I'd accept the handle, but there was a lot of grief given to a guy over a machine that appears to have been screwy from the onset. Not to mention, John re-charging the credit card the second time when it was in dispute.

The guy wasn't trying to steal from Guerkink, just trying to have something made right, but after all this has happened, I'd not want to look at anything G had built. You know for sure that if something else goes wrong with that machine that there's going to be more drama. If the motor happened to go bad on it, do you really think John would step up and make that right, too? I don't think so.



That pic of the big crescent wrench tweaking the handle was grade-A backyard hackery IMO.

When I called him later to get some replacements for the glides I lost and some new pads, he was unreachable by phone, but was on the boards. Business is business, gnomesayin. Piss a customer off and see what you get.
