I showed up at an empty house yesterday and met the owner as she was seeing it for the first time after her tenants moved out.
Her plans are to move in for a while than go travel the continent by RV.
Not a single visible spot or traffic lane on the carpet was left by the tenants but the layer of dust on every single surface was incredible. Window blinds and casings, ceiling fans, baseboards, door moldings, spider webs in every corner....just everywhere.
The carpet had been vacuum but the machine must not have had a brush roll because with every step a puff of dust would poof up.
If I didn't know better I'd sware the last residents were ghosts.
I strongly suggested that she spend the next few days dusting/cleaning everything but the carpet and that I'll come back during the week to do the carpet.
33 years, never seen anything like it.
