what temp is the water as it hits the carpet if it says 280 at the machine?
I might have to lay a thermometer on the ground and see, I am thinking maybe 180
anyone done a test like this?

yep ....180 is the max I've seen .
That was in summer with appx 75 ft of solution line hooked to a Ti wand
And it will take the wand triggered for some time to get that.
Normal wand duty cycles don't near that to the fiber

Go to Harbor Freight and get a digital meat thermometer ('bout 6 bukz is all)
Lay it on the carpet under the jet spray and be prepared for a shock.

most guys aren't getting 130 to the fiber

So why would it hiss and sputter if it was only 180?

it ain't hiss and spit temp by the time it travels 2 inches thru air from jet to fiber

digi thermometers are cheap ..try it out

How could one achieve this using a RV360i or a Hoss with no travel unlike the wand?
