Most of the floor guys use a Tennent or Nobles or something with the squeegee on the front and push it around. When Diana was on the #truck with me, I wanted to buy one for her. She nixed that real fast. She said, I don’t want to push a tank full of water around. She just used the Kiavac Squeege wand and 50’ of hose. Actually it was effortless. (says me)

I actually have some type of squeegee machine that came with a truckmount and equipment that I bought in 2015. I've never used it though.

Go to Webresturant site or just type Rubbermaid blue finish bucket and it will pop up. Same for the flat finish rayon mops. That wet vac will get you started. It’s heavy. That’s why I like Ridgid. They are light and powerful.

Oh I see your wet vac system now. You can dang sure try it out. That’s the type I was talking about that Diana didn’t want If it sucks, and the squeegee is good, that is MUCH better than ruining a porty!! You probably would need to use the hard surface tool in hard to reach areas such as behind toilets.

I'm always broke, and I actually already have a couple of those shop vacs and they are a pain in the ass to dump, when you run them till they are full water poors out the hose when you unhook it and then it spills out the vac port. The hose get twisted and when you try to untwist it the machine sometimes tips over.

With my portable I can run 25 - 50' of hose, it's easy to drain, and I can use a decent wand.

I also use that old portable for rinsing the slurry. I use a neutral floor cleaner for that.

I had an EDIC porty and it wasn’t worth 2 cents as a porty. 110 psi I started using it as a vacuum for slurry and might’ve lasted 6 months. You couldn’t clean it enough. That crap gets in the vacuum motors and soon it just craps out

my old Ninja is still going but I probably don't do as much wax removal as you. Bearings are going in one vac motor but still works. I still have a couple of spare motors in the shop.

This with a Rigid wet vac is the cats ass for stripping small floors. I wouldn’t even want to get a good Mikey floor tool in that. It will swivel to even get behind toilets beloit or not.
It’s gone up a hundred since the last I bought, but it’s so worth it.

I'm leaning towards the Pex because it has higher psi and heat (though I have Mytee 4 switch water heater).
I would like to clean counters and have a turbo mini, do you know if the Pex 500 has enough psi to run a turbo mini (since it's smaller than the turbo hybrid)?

The mini turbo is worthless on counters as it doesn't get in the corners, can't do backsplashes without making a huge mess can't do bull noses or risers and you need a steady forceful 700 PSI to move the spinner to begin with


The best tool for rinsing counter tops is the MB Grinder, which you can get off at Green Glides. It does all of the above with finesse and style and effectivity...

Mikey’s probably right about 500 psi on counters being slow. Here’s my mini turbo turning at that speed.

Should work fine except for the wax build up in the tank and hoses. I have an old portable that I use for that. I clean out the tank and hoses with stripper. I don't know if I would want to do it with a nice machine.

I was going to post something similar...It is a hard No extracting Wax, Glues, Carpet adhesives with a TM. Portable Can Be Justified:

I have a 6k SF concrete basement with carpet adhesive backing strips everywhere. Using a ShopVac 16gallon would make the bucket brigade jealous.

I'm using Mytee Breeze Parking at back door AF/AD with Diesel Heat connected I'll have two slurry buckets down with stripper and Citra Solve, Clark Sander (150lb) for agitation with Pro Strip Pads.

The Stripper Slurry leftover will be used to rinse out waste tanks. Also fwiw if wax/adhesive does get on poly tank take a microfiber towel and it's off

EZ Scrape discs on a 175 is the easiest way to remove that. It whips it off and you can either sweep or vacuum it up. $400, but it’s well worth it in time.

I was thinking of picking one up at HD rental...my method though is proven sounds like a lot but it's just agitation/extraction.

The Diesel heat at 8 flow(PMF Wand and WestPak Blaster) is 210 open all day I also use an injection with alkaline rinse in Mytee Breeze @600psi. Barely have to rinse mop

*The Citra solv 1 gallon mixed with 80/20 stripper is gas and smooths everything out when they have me back for sealer.
