Which VLM combo actually works?

What's new in the VLM world? Do CRB machines outclean OP or Cimex? What juice works best for that apartment grungefest you cleaned last week?

An apartment manager told me they had one guy that used to do work for them that used a floor buffer looking machine and whatever cleaner he used would remove everything - including red stains. I have not been able to produce anything but mediocre results on truly dirty carpet. I have used a CRB, OP, floor machine with every pad and brush imaginable, and even owned a Cimex at one point.

I have tried a wide variety of everything from encap juice to starter fluid to get these awesome results I see other people get but I still haven't been able to make it shine. What is the secret sauce? I have a suspicion that maybe Indiana water doesn't work with shampoo.

There is a reason it's called " Appearance management" method. Spread the dirt around so it looks uniform .

And not heavy duty restoration like HWE.

Well if Jimmy's right - today's "appearance" was kind of impressive. Encapsulation with a bonnet was able to produce some nice results on a fairly trashed carpet loaded with motor oil and potting soil...

We never sell "method", just results.

The red stain are a chemical issue, not machine related.

What works? We use cimex, 175, op, and occasionally voodoo. They all work.

Well...for padcapping where we actually remove some soil- I have been mixing this:

1 gallon of warm/hot water
1 scoop or Procyon powder (2oz)
1-2oz of Trashed Green
1-2oz of Aquasilk peroxide

Spray it down. Scrub it with your scrubbing pads and follow it up with wet microfiber and cotton type pads to extract dirt.

So far it's been incredibly effective.

Rotovac 360XL with pad driver or Orbot with the weight kit...but nowadays mostly the 360XL.

i used the XL this am on 900 sq/ft it wasn't very soiled but matted traffic lanes. it lifted and restored fullness.

But I'll translate, for you my friend only, though I am starting to lose hope. Many seem to have the "crazy garage chemist genius" syndrome, of having their own, knock it out of the ballpark recipe. Yes, sometime a product needs to be boosted. However, most products from good manufacturers, given a fraction of a chance, seem to be well formulated and do quite well on their own.

I did have a pint of Pabst. Delicious. Though hours after that post. And that damn Hungarian , is nowhere to be seen. God knows what he's gonna add to the recipe now. I bet it's spicy.

VLM necessities:

-Great vacuum
-Fiber and absorbent pads
-Quality chems
-Encap and/or pad machine
-CRB
-Spotting machine/porty

The CRB is great, but it's not a stand alone tool in most situations. For apartments I would use a CRB followed by an OP or 175 with absorbent pads. You need to use top tier chems and allow for plenty of dwell time. Also, there is no such thing as one 'go to' juice for VLM. You need to carry a few chems to get it done right.

Process you should try:

-CRB (dry)
-Vacuum
-Pre-spray
-DWELL
-Pad
-Groom

Zee is, Ron. I am just a Hebrew from Israel with Russian, Polish blood. But in Israel you get exposed to food from all over, as everybody there is from all over. Hungarian cuisine is awesome, I wish there were more restaurants with that cuisine here.
