2 PC Titanium wands.
4 jet and 6 jetter..

The 4 jet has an extra 6 inches of tubing welded in (by Prochem/Mike Roden) other than that they look identical.

I ram-rodded the 4 jetter to see if a collection of lint or crud snagging on the internal welds was causing it to to sing a different tune but nada...

fun fact:Rugermade the cast head on the 4 jet wand back in the day.

whats your guess as to why the 6 is so much louder?

6 jetter way more flush,

huh?

same amount/volume of water coming out of both Ron and why would that cause an audible difference?

I know that with wind instruments.

It's the length of the tube that make the different notes if the diameter is the same.

Why do you thing pipe organs have so many freaking pipes?

As a kid didn't you ever make a drinking straw whistle and cut it as you blow through it while cutting it shorter with scissors?

it's the (non-GreenGlide) Glides. One fits tighter than the other. Your 4 jetter has really wide lips, your 6 has normal. less leakage on the 4 jet, different harmonics, different sound.

That's why we made a normal and undersize fit for the ti, the difference in the width of the lips between an old 4 jetter or other wide lipped ti and the narrowest lips was well over 100 thousanths, too big a gap to span with a single fit. Most of the newest ti's have been undersized fits so they are making 'em smaller lipped now.

Take care,
Lisa
