Cimexed a 10,000 ft dinning hall today.

They maintain it with a Host machine but call us when it gets too gnarly.

They know HWE/post VLM is the way to go but can only afford VLM and it's reduced down time.


We do post pad most of it as you can see.

The grungy thick kitchen entry areas got a blast of straight ammonia first, then the Mex, followed by as many pads as it took to get the mud out..

5 hours, 10,000 sf @.28.

I've only ever used them on this place as they're pricey and overkill on normal VLM jobs.
I don't know if they make larger versions

I did 5000ish ft with the same pads



This job sucked up almost 3 gallons of pixie juice at a 4 ounce per rate

we used a pump up to hit the thick spills for five to 10 minutes prior to scrubbing with the Cimex.

From reading here, over the years, most Cimex owners post they can clean virtually anything (including greasy restaurants) with the scampoo method. What made you decide to post bonnet instead of allowing the pixie dust to encapsulate the soil and be "removed" later by their vacuuming?

Your videos are almost as good as Rob's. Keep working on them.

When we first bidded on this job we did a demo of for methods..

1. Red pad/175 prescrub and wand rinse
2. Cimex only
3. Rotary Extraction
4. RE and Cimex post pad.

They chose the Cimex only based on final appearance 1st, and cost 2nd.


We chose to post pad almost all our Cimex jobs because

1. We have a conscience
2. Looks better when dry
3. We charge enough to do so.

and we only do so in the grungy areas where is does make a difference.

When Denny's corporate closed in Calif. and moved here employees that came here were saying "you mean I can have that house for $300,000.?" On west coast would have been many times that. SC is a poor state. Around here if you are going to remain competitive in commercial you will price at half that rate of .28 and that is for HWE.

More and more people are flying over us to get to the gulf coast. Which is really aggravating to me, because those people are destroying our redneck culture.

We'd have been as low as .12 or as high as.18 (depending on soiling conditions, open or congested area and difficulty in setup) for the same type of cleaning.

HWE .18-.26 most choose VLM for the price, but stay with it for the appearance and convenience. Although we still do a good bit of HWE on commercial work, probably 50/50.
