It's just the Old Fashioned Way

But if you use the HWE Method and get carpets dry in 2-5 hours. Great !!!

I just prefer a more profitable and simpler way to clean carpet, with 1-2 hour dry times

Profitable? For sure.
Simple? No argument there.

But if you know you’re leaving soil behind, “clean” is a generous word for it.

Especially when a lot of those encap products are also leaving behind fluorochemical “forever chemicals” in homes.

Living The Dream, when you pre-spray at 400 psi do you think that you get the backing of carpet and possibly the pad wet ?

I don't prespray at 400 psi. More like 350, and turn up the rinse. If I did, the spray fans in a direction that it couldn't possibly get the pad wet. I'm like Wayne Quigley in Quigley Down Under, I don't have much use for residential, I didn't say I couldn't do it!
