For those that are using 2.5" hose to the filter...how do you store it? I can't really see a functional method for rolling it up on the same reel as my 2" hose. I currently put it in the bed of the truck (I have my rig in a trailer), but there's got to be a better way.

I have 2 -50 foot rolls of the stuff. At first I put 50 feet on my reel. Then as I determined that it wasn't really mattering on my average hose runs of 125 feet I took it off. Another reason was as it got colder it was a bear to handle. Now the 100 feet lie in my basement.

But on long hose runs on commercial it does help with better airflow.

But it was a faze and now it's over.

I run 35’ of 2.5 off the custom waste tank lid.
I then have a 100’ section of 2”...
I then have a 30’ piece of 2”, that I refer to as ‘shorty’.
All my hose cuffs are standard, I put them on the hose, first using Teflon pipe tape, then use electrical tape to secure them....
The ‘links’ between the cuffs are 2” stainless steel.
Air leaks are your enemy....
I also over spin my 47 blower, standard is 2850, I run it at 3450...
Even at 200’, I use earplugs everyday....
I let you guess why...
On really big jobs, I’ve got 250’ of 2.5, then run 2” the rest of the way....
On commercial jobs that require speed, I will run 2.5 all the way, except the last 30’ (shorty)..
Is 2.5 a PITA?
Of course it is, but the results are worth it to me.
BTW, 1.5 whip hoses are for home vacuums or for riding in a horse drawn carriage.....😊

But does it make a difference at 150’ and less?

150 it does
100-125 not enough to make a practical difference for the hassle

short piece 2.5 from TM to Dev filter and shorter piece w/connector to 2" hose
(or 2.5 direct if it's off the reel)

our set up was 50ft 2.5" behind 100ft of 2"
we only used 2.5" if over 100ft
