Nobody stays "booked" out two weeks without a lot of cancellations.

Start earlier, work better, stay later. Works for us when turnover starts. Hopefully you have two good people on each truck.

24 2br apts can be done in a day easily with two trucks.

X2

If you anticipate it staying that busy add a truck or run 7 12+ hour days to get it caught up a bit.

That's ambitious. I guess it depends on what you're getting paid. Right now, if I'm not booked a week ahead by Friday, I will be by days end on Monday.

We are rarely Slammed but we are fairly steady now.

Do you want to sell that AT?

We like the BigBearTruck too much & we just finished paying it off so not for a while. Besides with all our Hours & miles you may consider it worn out

There would be a lot of cancellations if I had people wait two weeks.

That might speak volumes about the (your) quality. I used to be booked out 4+ weeks without alot of cancellations, until I raised my prices and weeded out the bottom feeders. Now i work 1-2 weeks out max. And No, I still don't have alot of cancellations. Shouldn't make broad statements , Lee. That doesn't apply to all markets.

Humor us, Billy and tell us your hours and miles. I'm sure we'd all be amused.

Haven't humored everyone enough just with the thought

Remember this one
Original 1994 van we sold 2007

No, you haven't. Let's see, I've been running my truck for 5 years and put on 6000 hours and 50,000 miles. How you doing? I had an '84 CDS I ran for 24 years , so your 13 year old van really means nothing to me.

I didn't post the old van for age I was showing you hrs & miles when we sold it. I have met many guys with much older trucks.

What is Billy's truck worth?

now a days...not even close to what he paid.......

Ballpark Jim!

aside from all the bells and whistles he has added...like back up and side cameras....and other fluff..if he could get 18k for it he should take it and run...as hard as it is to admit those things are losing more and more value....they are not for everyone and you better have a good concrete foundation under your company to keep it going...

with the economy in the tank..( and it is going to get worse before it gets better )....you better have a good grip on what you are doing if you plan on running one.......

Very busy here as well. Always from Spring to Christmas is crazy. We turn work away and are booked typically 2-3 weeks out. Repeats get priority placing so very few cancels at all.

Daniel Jim is correct but most equipment depreciates from what was originally invested.

If I was to put it up for sale it would be worth what ever someone would pay. My Truck isn't really like most same as my van wasn't but I did get more than most thought I would have for it. When I do decide to sell I will get what I want or it will stay mine. I took months to sell my van but I got what I wanted.

It is just now 5 yrs old & it has been a good investment I don't regret.
