Need more information. What heat are you accustomed too? What is it dropping too?

Could be you are getting more heat at the carpet even though it reads less at the machine.

The way you trigger is probably different than when you use the wand also...
No. Tried finding one up here with no luck. And big difference with the trigger. Still learning how to use it.

Use it the way it is. 180 is fine with the higher flow. Try not to be such a Tim The Tool Man.

I'm kinda tone deaf but I will take that as a diss.
It was a simple question not meant to stir the pot...
My apex is older so it may not perform like the new ones. If remember correctly were you not running a 5 flow with your 370?
Anyhow I have a bath to take in the hot tub and stew on my first world problems...

Not a diss...its just male menopause setting in on a few of us (I'm older than all of them, so I can say so ....)

Yea, now he's tripping overy his game boxes...
I am running at around 200 with a 9 flow Ti at 30 degrees outside..
Things to check:
-pull the two small lines off your waste tank and lay them on the floor of your van.. Your bypass might be leaking, or the temp valve in the water box might be stuck open.
-Pull your heat exchangers and clean them.
-Check your RPM'S both of mine were set low.
If you want better heat in the winter you could always run a higher temp valve in your water box.. If you run a 160 degree valve you will get the temps you want. You should change it back when warmer weather is back.

The problem is not as much your flow rate as it is the length of time you stay triggered.
The question that matters to me is ,are you happy with how it cleans? My 870 will drop to 200ish with 12 flow zipper wide open for a long time. I don't see any difference in results.

Oh very happy with the way it cleans and more importantly how dry the carpets are after. It may be a ID10T error with my use. Went to Cleanworks shop yesterday and he gave me some tips on use.

Also when was the last time you flushed the coolant system? How about bleed it? So do this Descale the machine clean your HX's use Prochem Ultrapac Renovate, check and replace the HX gaskets if needed, flush the coolant system and replace coolant and make sure to bleed ALL the air out of the system. Check/Clean and or replace your temperature bypass orifice. Check the Temp Bypass on the water box that's your heat system in a nut shell

Or are you just noticing that the temp is dropping to 180 with the zipper?
Higher flow , coupled with higher water usage with the zipper Cleaning in both directions should drop the temperature, but like the guys mentioned, the water is getting to the carpet with less heat loss in the solution line
Either way , if you haven't I would check first to see if I am maintaining the 210-240 range with the 5 flow wand

Unfortunately John I was not keeping proper maintenance records. This has been fixed.
When my heat exchanger needed repair, as mentioned earlier, I had everything flushed. Just have to figure out when that was done and guess what were the hours.
Papa, I have my daughter coming out with me on Sunday to film. I will use that time to run a comparison under operating conditions.
