I’m trying to bleed the air out of my heat exchangers
So far, it’s required the use of a Phillips screwdriver, a flat head screwdriver and a pair of pliers.
And I’ve been looking at it for 30 minutes

I’ve never had a direct drive but are there shut offs between the radiator and the HXs

Usually not but you can have them installed. Be glad you have bleed valves on your heat exchangers. I am having problems with my hydramaster cds exchangers but don't have any bleed valves. I back flushed them and got a lot of debris out but I think when I put it together again, I may be getting an airlock. First heat exchanger gets hot, second one, not so much.
