Idiot™
I hate you
Debbie Downer.Okay I've decided on a 1 hp 13 inch buffer to carry in to a house.
MIKEY EVERYTHING FOR CARPET CLEANING IS OVERPRICED
WANDS $1800
OP MACHINES 8 GRAND
AND $45 PLUS GALLONS OF SCAMPOO
Some idiot will make the mistake of buying that 8 grand OP machine but
he will never admit it
It will sit in his basement forever and when he dies the family will sell it at a garage sale for $5
Same goes for a $1800 wand that costs maybe $100 to make.
Go clean the funkiest of carpet and study a blue microfiber pad, the soil gets drawn/ wicked into it's core rather than loaded up as you describe with Cotton's and the blended terry cloth types.

I have microfiber pads and they don't pick up squat.

WOW, you have been hanging out with OP fags way too much if you really believe that bullshit. I have microfiber pads and they don't pick up squat. You need deprograming fast. Maybe the scientologists can help you with their audit thingy.
I do agree that a CRB can make cornrow in a carpet extremely visible but that's very rare. There are very valid reasons why carpet mills hate bonnet cleaning ( or OP as in case of it's retarded brother the out of balance, over priced rotary.) I have had several op units and currently have a VIBE, been 99% VLM for nearly 20 years and frankly it's so over rated. In the case of OP machines more often than not they are fraudulently over-sold with lies. Why do cleaners love low moisture ? Easier on our aging bodies, much lower equipment cost and frankly much, much greater margins. If I had it to do over I would have stayed off the truck and just accepted the lower quality work you get from employees or focused 100% on commercial without the energy drain of running residential work myself. You can train a newbie on a cimex to clean commercial in 20 minutes and just have one experienced crew member keeping watch over 3-4 other amateurs and doing specialty spotting work etc. TRY that on residential and you will have huge Stanley steamer style problems.

Randy, I would have bet money on that I remembered you being a major OP proponent for years...talking about low moisture cleaning in embassies and other important places etc. What's changed?
Do I remember wrong? I'm not spending much time here these days so excuse my ignorance if you had this written down already...
As long as the check clears.ALL OF THIS VLM TAWK IS SATAN WHISPERING IN YOUR EAR!
YOU KNOW IT DOESN'T CLEAN!
IT IS A COMPLETE FRAUD!
GIT THEE BEHIND ME OH SATAN !

I've often thought if I could do it all over again, I would focus solely on commercial. My business has become a bit of a trap. I have done anything and everything over the last 30 years and now that's what my customers expect. Think about all of the large commercial accounts you could do with a cimex or op machine. Large apartment building hallways, tall office buildings, hotel lobbies that need to dry quickly. These are big jobs that pay well. When they asks if you do homes, just say no. For the price of a truckmount, you can buy the best op, a cimex, a crb, a few good quality vacuums and all the goodies you need to start up. Maybe a small portable for upholstery and spotting. You might still have some money left over to start hiring someone to do the work so you can get out and sell more.Go clean the funkiest of carpet and study a blue microfiber pad, the soil gets drawn/ wicked into it's core rather than loaded up as you describe with Cotton's and the blended terry cloth types.

Hog howl disowned me for using a Bissell in my own house![]()
He raises premium pigs. While we’re at it, explain how a pig farmer can call any one an idiot?
The rotary is only for areas that need some absorption. Almost never used with a Cimex. I don’t like using a jiggler on the off-chance I might need an absorbent pad.We did and do that since 2001, although we use a real 17".
Good or great for two man teams but as mentioned here recently, if your VLM process is two or more steps for one operator, might as well HWE. ( If logistics and finances allow)
No but I owned a Spyder.
I never slowed it down and in all fairness, that probably would’ve compelled me to keep it.big difference.
Di you, like me, convert your Spyder to speed 3?
That helps the playboy thing but the frame differences in the Phoenix are key.
New Spyders will have a PHX frame in SS
