I just bought stuff for a tuneup on my backup van. Plugs, wires, cap and rotor button

I’ve never changed a cap and rotor button before. Is it hard to do?
I didn't know distributors were still around.
only ONE wire at a time...
If you do what Lee says and transfer wires one at a time from the old cap to the new one and to each plug it's easy.

In the winter you can waste a tremendous amount of time jacking around looking for a working spigot.
Never freezes in Redding, but you never know about a tech's competence.

Had a situation today where I could have used one. Old, empty house with the water turned off and most of the light bulbs missing or burned out. Had to track down the shut off with the flash light on my phone, turn the water on, make sure there are no leaks. Then turn everything off when the job was done. Don't run into that often but it happens. You don't want to have an employee turning water off and on.

Or when you get one of those defective, damaged (previously frozen) freeze proof faucets and don't notice it leaking behind the wall when you turn it on... And end up doing a water damage job when you are finished with your regular cleaning.

Cleaned a vacant today. I’m really impressed with my CDS. It really puts out the heat. Now if I could just get the tach to work.

Being a reformed heat freak (ran fuel fired that could peg the 280 gauge with PC Ti 9 flow)

sustained 180-200 is more than enough for 96.377% of situations.
