Respectfully, I disagree. "Full contact with the carpet" is fine when all the soil is on the tips.

Unfortunately, if the carpets require prescrubbing, then the soil is pile deep, and any reasonable person should be able to understand how a brush performs better in that environment.

The pad doesn't float on the tips of the fibers on most carpets. The weight and motion of the machine lay the fibers on their sides to be scrubbed.

I understand how a brush can dig deeper. Which brush do you use? Dirt Napper?

Do carpet manufactures say that the pad is too aggressive like they do with the brush?
