I’m taking it to the forklift later this week to move it. Rubber mats underneath are getting pulled up.

The waste tank was behind it but I think I’m gonna move it to the left side of the machine for better mounting space and ease of access to the rear and right side of the machine.

The van needs a power steering fluid reservoir, a tuneup, and a new rear door

As for the tm, the water pump needs tlc, and the 185f thermal relief valve needs replaced. 🤞. Once I get it completed, we’ll see what other issues it might have

All of this "unnecessary" work has saved my ass this week and last week and I AM CLEANING CARPET, due to a shitty supply company we call Jondon not being able to do a simple thing as ship a little oil seal to me for my everest. It's almost 2 weeks and I'm finally getting the parts from another company today that I ordered 3 days ago

I don't regret restoring this van/tm the past year and half I've owned it

That is your vac relief valve. Adjust it. Or don't adjust it. It's supposed to open when you lock the hose down. If you think it's opening too soon, then adjust it. It's very easy. Just turn the nut on the end.

That noise goes away when I manually open the vac relief valve. Don’t insult me, I’m not a true dumbass

As I said the other day, sounds like a air leak.
Today's video, clearly a air leak but it sounds like it is leaking through your relief valve which is normal.

I know you say when you open the valve manually you do not get the noise but you are probably opening the valve further than it does during normal operation causing less restriction and less noise.

welp, do this
crank relief valve tight so it won't open.

cover the hose end half to 3/4 or whatever is needed to load the blower to 14hg.
(make sure vac relief doesn't open at all)

you'll know then if hearing a bearing, belt squealing or air whistling thru the relief valve

so easy, even a Matt can doit

I worked on it this evening and found the problem. That sound is coming from an unevenly adjusted belt tensioner. I went to retighten the belt a couple weeks after the new one was put on and I forgot to loosen the pulley on the back end so it would move. It sounds like a new machine now

An uneven belt tensioner makes the engine sound like it's grinding.

i have the same machine been using for years . i have not been over all your posts but here are the part numbers for some stuff you will most likely need for the GM vortec 1.6L
1. timing belt, water pump and tensioner gates KP15310XS (if you go to PSI or other routes these will cost a fortune.

Pulling the water pump out is twice as easy as putting it in 😒

As for the new accumulator...I had to cut the threads in half to make it fit because it’s taller than the original one.

do yourself a favor and run a high 1/4 pressure hose to the front and mount your chem pump there with a shut off so you can turn it off for tile cleaning . its a bitch to swap the diaphragm in that position.

Why did you switch over to diesel? Did it have trouble overheating the computer with no air flow going through the machine?

I really like the eurotec burners small footprint, burn clean, problem free. Guy i got it from said it did, we relocated the computer it was originally mounted on the upper shroud above the exhaust manifold, not sure what the engineers at blueline were thinking with that one lol

There's several questions I'd like to ask them about these thermalwaves. There was a crappy "heat shield" on top of the engine's catalytic converter that did absolutely nothing. It was just a thin piece of metal that laid on top of it. I had to come from the factory because my spare parts machine had the exact same one laying on top of it.

And the liquid heat exchanger provided plenty of heat, but it suffocated the water pump, not allowing any air to escape. I read other's comments about how the water pump's seals melted out west. I know that because they installed a tiny little fan underneath to help air flow. It wouldn't matter because the open air slots in the side panels were so narrow, hardly any air would pull through it. IT's like they wanted these things to overheat

and on my spare parts machine, I discovered this thing sitting in the silencer when I removed the blower a few weeks ago. There's no way it would've survived in one piece if it was sucked in through the blower. It had to be purposely put in there to do nothing but rattle. If the truck mount won't stop rattling, just go buy another one.

Do you have some other pictures of the unit during and after the rebuild? And is there anything else you think I might need to look at with any updates?
