I’m taking it to the forklift later this week to move it. Rubber mats underneath are getting pulled up.

The waste tank was behind it but I think I’m gonna move it to the left side of the machine for better mounting space and ease of access to the rear and right side of the machine.

The van needs a power steering fluid reservoir, a tuneup, and a new rear door

As for the tm, the water pump needs tlc, and the 185f thermal relief valve needs replaced. 🤞. Once I get it completed, we’ll see what other issues it might have

That connector close to the floor is where I’m reading 35psi right before the injectors.

Justin told me 55. And the chevy Aveo engine has the same pressure of 55ish also

Is that light on? That is a MIL. In the olden days you jump to pins and count the blinks...some have it on the computer
The light is on and blinks once when the key is turned on with the engine off.

The light is off with no blinking when the engine is running

I went ahead and hooked up a wire to the same spot that's on my everest and got a code of 654 I think

idk which pins. I can see where it is wired into connector 1 . I'll see if I can find***. I would think something causing symptoms you are describing would illuminate the MIL but maybe not

is the regulator is built into the rail.

at idle you are likely to get low fuel pressure because of vac....how/when are you measuring




****might be a bit....have to take the bed off my ranger

I was wrong on that last part (I think)....although I'd still probably listen to/check with multimeter injectors (#4)

Correction: The code is 1654

I forgot to add that first blink before the last 3

fook...654 would have made more sense

without something to cross reference 1654 might actually be displayed before the actual code or indicate that no codes are stored. Is there anything after 1654 blinks a few times?

again I'm not sure it is an actual code

"The ECM will flash the MIL indicator with a pause between represented numbers that represent DTC codes. The sequence starts with code 1654. Code 1654 confirms the system has entered the blink code mode. The ECM will flash code 1654 (3) times before displaying the actual DTC code that may be set"

This is from a PSI manual and why I said 1654 may not be a code at all

and from a gm 1.6 manual

The Engine Control Module (ECM) receives information from various engine sensors in order to control the operation of the fuel injectors. The electric fuel pump, prevents fuel flow unless the engine is cranking or running. During key on, electric fuel pump receives a two (2) second prime pulse from the ECM which allows Gasoline to flow from the tank through fuel filter and fuel lines to the fuel rails where the pressure is regulated. With Ignition “ON” and fuel pump running pressure should be 284- 325 kPa (41-47 psi). When the engine is idling, manifold pressure is low (high vacuum) and is applied to the pressure regulator diaphragm. Vacuum will offset the spring pressure and result in very low fuel pressure. Fuel pressures at idle will vary somewhat depending on barometric pressure but, should be less then pump pressure.

It held 35psi from idle to full throttle. So my goal is to get it increased somewhere between 41-47psi. Is that correct?

Low voltage on the fuel pressure sensor



if I had to guess at this point I would say fuel regulator is shot (go through the test procedures above). It is built into the rail right?

I looked around for a new rail and only found a crazy expensive one. Emailed PSI yesterday but haven't heard back.

if it is a built in regulator I think i'd find a a way to gut the regulator and add an inline one............or take a fuel rail extrusion and the injectors to a machinist






*there is also a standard rail for those but I haven't found a source....maybe Chicago Engines

It’s the MAP sensor I replaced yesterday. It’s called a FPR in the manual but is a MAP at the auto parts store.

I'm probably wrong but I thought it had both

but again it's hard to know what applies without the specific manuals....this pdf also gives a different MIL entry confirmation code

The voltage readings came out normal on the sensor on the fuel rail. I don’t see a regulator on the injectors.

And there is no Shrader on the fuel rail assembly

have you tried calling PSI

but that may be talking about the type where the FPR is on a tubing rail and not applicable here

Yeah it probably is, but it doesn’t apply to mine. I’m just gonna gamble on it and hope this ECU fixes it. It runs rough on the hot days anyway so I was thinking the ecu is damaged from where it was located for 2k hrs before I relocated it
